I joined Allied Associates LLP, Chartered Accountants in 1990. Predominantly, our clients are involved in agriculture or agri-business so I have had the privilege of working in the industry for over 25 years. Growing up, I worked on a fruit farm in the Plympton-Wyoming area so Allied was a natural fit for me as I always had an appreciation for the long days that went into growing our food and the importance agriculture plays in our economy. I am committed to lifelong learning and obtained the Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) designation in 1997. Shortly thereafter, I was one of the founding directors of the Canadian Institute of Financial Planners which serves as an advocate for the financial planning profession in Canada. Today, I am an affiliate member of STEP Canada working towards a designation in Trust and Estate planning.
In my current role as Senior Manager of Business Advisory Services, I help farm families with business planning, change in enterprise, farm transfers, succession, and estate planning. I am passionate about working with people to help them better understand their financial options when they are in the midst of a transition.
