Vern McClelland is an Associate Broker for RE/MAX of Lloydminster and a partner with the Midwest Group.
Fully licensed in Alberta and Saskatchewan, he carries a membership with both the Lloydminster and Saskatchewan Real Estate Boards.
To date in his career, he has personally represented over 2,500 properties from single family homes to multi-million dollar commercial enterprises.
In 2014, Vern was honored to earn RE/MAX International’s Lifetime Achievement Award for distinguished service to the industry.
He was elected to the Saskatchewan Real Estate Commission in 2016 as one of two industry representatives outside of Saskatoon and Regina; and currently serves as Chairperson.
Vern has been a contributing editor to The Meridian Source since 2005, writing over 600 columns to date on real estate issues of interest to readers in Canada’s Midwest and the team’s international clientele.
Prior to entering real estate in 2003, he acted as a management consultant to over 50 Canadian companies, non-profit organizations, First Nations, provincial and federal Crown agencies, assisting them with planning and strategic business development.
During this time, he successfully guided the creation of fourteen Public/Private Partnerships or P3s; the largest being the introduction of high-speed internet service to northern and remote communities in Saskatchewan.
A graduate of the University of Calgary Banff School of Management, he holds the educational equivalent of a master’s degree in health care administration.
In his 23 years working in health services, Vern served as chief executive officer for several regional health organizations, the largest having over 2,100 employees.
Today, in partnership with his son and wife, he also plays an active role in the daily activities of a 1,000 head livestock operation outside of Maidstone, on land that has been with his family since 1905.
With a background in agriculture, strategic planning, and real estate brokerage, it is only natural Vern has a keen interest in farm families and their rural properties.

I have worked with farm families and agribusiness since 2003.
To date I have facilitated the sale or lease of over 60,000 acres in NW Saskatchewan and NE Alberta.
in addition, i have provided valuation and planning services for 100,000 + acres either directly to the client or on behalf of several law firms and accountants.
